Book Layout Designer | Typesetter
Praise Saflor is a freelance graphic designer based in Manila. Book designing and typesetting are her fields of expertise—whether for novel, memoir, cook books, or children’s books. For seven years, she worked as a layout artist in different publishing companies before she became a full-time freelance graphic designer in 2018. She uses Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
Known for being passionate about book designing, Praise never settles for anything good but best. She treasures every book as her own, that’s why it’s her joy to bring any book to life, especially children’s books. Seeing kids enjoy the books she designs is already a great reward for her.
Designing children’s books began to have a special place in her heart when she became a mom to her son Prince David. Through the books she has designed, her son learned to read and to love reading. Praise saw in her child how important it is to design books that catch not only his attention but also his interest. Hence, it became her goal to design books that would encourage kids to read and become interested in books.
When Praise is not designing books, she would find herself on the couch with her family talking about anything in life, playing games with her son, or reading her books.
